Halo Wars Strategy - Covenant Strategy

USER SUBMITTED: Ghost Rush

This strategy is a gamble, but can be a quick way to win amatch. This strategy works best against UNSC players that don't upgrade their Warthogs and waste money on Supply Pads and Reactor without producing an army. I like the Prophet of Regret, because he has a Shield that respawns and a ranged weapon. Start by building a Temple, and sending your Ghost to gather supplies, rather than scout. Next, build 3 Blessed Warehouses, followed by a Factory. Once you have the Prophet, send him to destroy a neutral base that is close to your enemy, and claim the site to build a 2nd base. Keep building Blessed Wareshoues at both bases, a Factory at your 2nd base, and as many Ghosts as possible. Once you have around 15 Ghosts, send your Leader to the enemy base. Then teleport your army to your Leader, and set Global Rally Point to teleporter. Then, attack your enemy's Supply Pads or Warehouses. Remeber, Ghosts are easy to destroy so you will need a swarm of them.

And use the Cleansing Beam efficiently, don't waste it on units that can outrun it. Focus it on buildings. If your rush fails, then quickly build shield generators and switch strategies. If your enemy thinks that you are going to keep building Ghosts and vehicles, then he will build Cobras and Anti-Vehicle Turrets. So switch to Banshees or infantry mix to counter your enemy and stay alive.

USER SUBMITTED: Wraith Rush

I have won lots of 1v1s using a Wraith Rush strategy. This strategy works best against UNSC because Wraiths are produced much quicker and cheaper than Scorpions. I also like to use the Prophet of Regret, because he has a Shield that respawns and Elite Honor Guards. As long as you have an upgraded Leader with adequate support to protect your Wraiths, you should be able to beat any UNSC player. First, build a Temple, followed by 3 Blessed Warehouses. Then build a factory and start producing Wraiths. While your Wraiths are building, you should upgrade to Heavy Shields at your Temple. Once you have around 3 Wraiths, send you Leader to your opponent's base. Then teleport your army to your Leader, and set Global Rally Point to teleporter. Then, attack your enemy's units and key buildings and keep producing Wraiths and Elite Honor Guards.

USER SUBMITTED: Banshee Rush

This strategy works if you execute it quickly and properly. Remember that like Paper, Rock, Scissors, in Halo Wars Infantry lose to vehicles, but beat aircraft. Vehicles lose to aircraft, but beat infantry. And aircraft lose to infantry but beat vehicles. This strategy also works well against Covenant, becuase most Covenant infantry can barely harm aircraft, if at all. Start by building 3 Warehouses, and Turrets if you fear a Rush. Send your Ghost to gather supplies, and build a Temple. While both are gathering supplies, build a Summit, followed by upgrading all of your Warehouses. Then, start producing Banshees. Once you have around 5, move your Leader to the enemy base where you can teleport your army. Then, teleport army to your leader, and set Global Rally Point to teleporter. Use your Leader to destroy his army, and use your Banshees to destroy his military buildings. Keep producing Banshees and use the Leader Power to assist Banshees. If this strategy fails, claim a 2nd base as backup and distraction. Switch to producing a different type of units, most likely vehicles to counter enemy infantry that he should have built to beat your aircrat.
